General Information

It is an active, supportive, and guided process to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It helps reduce stress, improve coping skills, and support overall well-being.

Your first session sets the foundation with confidentiality, goals, and a customized plan.

A good connection matters. If you ever feel uneasy or not fully understood, it’s completely okay to bring it up, we will work through it together.

Coverage depends on your extended health plan. Many insurance plans include counselling with a registered clinical counsellor, but not all do. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm.

You don’t need a referral; simply reach out to schedule your complimentary 15-minute session.

Specialized Concerns

Yes, I focus on supporting clients through specialized concerns including trauma recovery, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Sessions are personalized to your unique needs, and I use evidence-based approaches to help you build coping strategies and foster resilience.

It’s common to feel hesitant if past counselling experiences didn’t meet your needs. Every counsellor has a different style, and I focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will work at your pace and adjust approaches to find what works best for you.

Yes, many clients seek counselling for specialized situations, whether related to cultural background, professional stress, or unique personal challenges. I respect your individuality and aim to provide culturally sensitive and personalized support. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your situation in a consultation to ensure I’m the right fit for your needs.

Fee Payments

Please see the fee schedule for details. Longer sessions can be arranged upon request. I’ll always be transparent about costs, and you’ll know the fee before booking your first appointment.

Yes. I understand that finances can sometimes be a barrier to getting support. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on individual circumstances. Please feel free to ask about current availability during our initial consultation.

To confirm your appointment, payment is kindly requested 24 hours in advance. At this time, I accept e-transfers as the preferred method of payment.

Appointments

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to counselling, your goals, and any questions you may have. I’ll also explain how I work and what you can expect from the counselling process. The focus is on creating a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and supported as we begin working together.

To book an appointment, please contact us via email. You can initiate the process by visiting our contact page.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows the time to be offered to another client. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.

The frequency of sessions depends on your personal goals and needs. Some clients prefer weekly appointments for consistent support, while others choose bi-weekly or monthly sessions. Together, we’ll find a rhythm that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
